Dr. Hanan Balkhi, WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, stated during a press conference on Thursday regarding public health issues that, concerning attacks on healthcare in Iran, since February 28, according to the head of the National Emergency Management Organization, four healthcare workers have been killed, 25 injured, and four ambulances damaged.
She added that 11 hospitals and 36 field emergency centers have been affected in the past five days. Most of the damage to health facilities was due to their proximity to the targeted sites, and no major structural damage has been reported, only minor damage.
