The representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Egypt, Dr. Naima Al-Qaseer, appreciated the existence of institutional work to manage comprehensive health coverage in Egypt.

She affirmed that the concept has become not based on disease only, but rather on safe health care, from a broader perspective that includes the promotion of public health, and disease prevention.

This universal coverage reinforces the right of every person to obtain health, which is guaranteed by the Egyptian constitution.

Dr. Al-Qusayr said - during her participation in a dialogue session on the sidelines of the 15th International Conference on Oncology, which is organized by the Egyptian Society of Oncology, headed by Dr. Hisham Al-Ghazaly - that Egypt has made clear progress towards comprehensive health coverage in light of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi's interest in the health of Egyptian women, which is one of the most important.

The Presidential initiatives for public health under the umbrella of the grand initiative 100 million health, work on early detection in all primary care units while raising awareness among women, in addition to establishing a strong and rapid referral system to confirm diagnosis and treatment without placing on waiting lists.
