White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that negotiations between the United States and Iran are "progressing well," suggesting that Iran’s public statements rejecting the U.S. administration's demands are merely for media appearance.
Tehran had previously described U.S. demands regarding the dismantling of its nuclear capabilities, limiting its missile program, and halting support for armed groups as "excessive and unreasonable."
Leavitt added that Tehran has no choice but to attempt to reach an agreement.
