The White House announced on Monday that U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has been discussing at the highest levels of the U.S. government the push towards completing a hostage exchange deal in Gaza.
The White House confirmed that Sullivan reiterated President Biden and his administration's deep commitment to bringing the remaining hostages home as soon as possible. He also addressed the tragic news of the deaths of six hostages, including American Hirsch Goldberg-Polin.
The White House noted that Sullivan held a video meeting with the families of the American hostages held in Gaza.
