The White House said diplomacy will be the cornerstone of talks scheduled for Friday between the United States and Iran, underscoring Washington’s preference for dialogue in addressing tensions with Tehran.

In remarks reported by regional media, the White House emphasized that US President Donald Trump has been unequivocal in his position that Iran must not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. Officials said the talks aim to address concerns surrounding Iran’s nuclear program through diplomatic means.

The statement comes amid renewed international efforts to ease regional tensions, as Washington and Tehran prepare for discussions viewed as a key test for future engagement between the two sides.
