White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced on Monday that she has tested positive for Coronavirus.
Jean-Pierre was a member of the team that accompanied US President Joe Biden on his trip to Europe.
"I last met the US President on Sunday during a social distanced meeting and he is not considered a close contact, as defined by CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidance," she added in a statement.
Last week, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki tested positive for COVID-19.
