The US President Joe Biden intends to hold a meeting with leaders from Africa next year 2020, the White House said in a statement.
The summit will focus on building partnerships and making new global alliances.
"It will represent an opportunity to cooperate with African counterparts on key areas that the United States and Africa define as critical for the future of the continent and the global community," the statement read.
