“See” offer you a list of the major concerts and events that are taking place in coincidence with the celebrations of Christmas and New Year's Eve 2020, which is just around the corner.
Thursday, December 26:
05:00 PM | the “Independent Art Festival” will kick off at the Goethe Institute’s Tahrir Lounge, which will run until December 28; it will display a number of free plays and monodrama shows.
The celebrations of “Mouled” (the birth of) Al-Hussein ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib, will be performed at the same time at Al-Hussein Mosque square, which is a popular celebration destination that features religious chants.
06:30 PM | movie “Night/exterior” will be screened at Greater Cairo Public Library, followed by a panel discussion of the movie, amid the attendance of its makers and cast, including Mona Hala, and Sherif El Desouky.
07:00 PM | the Egyptian Mewlewya religious chanting troupe will perform at El Sawy Culture Wheel's Wisdom hall, in Zamalek district.
08:00 PM | Abul Gheit Darwish troupe will perform at El Mastaba Center for Egyptian Folk Music, Tahrir Street, Bab El Louk neighborhood.
08:00 PM |Harp player, Mona Wassef will enchant her audience at the Cairo opera house with a show entitled "Christmas Spirit".
10:30 PM | Egyptian rock soft band, Wust El-Balad will perform at Cairo Jazz Club, 26th July St. Agouza.
11:30 PM | jazz band, Egyptian project will perform at Darb 1718 contemporary art and culture center, Qasr Al-Shamaa Street, Misr Al Qadima.
Friday, December 27:
06:30 PM | Egyptian superstar, Tamer Hosny will team up with singer Ramy Gamal for a concert held at Al Manara Arena.
07:00 PM | Egyptian superstar, Ali El Haggar will perform live at American University in Cairo (AUC) main auditorium, Ewart Hall.
08:00 PM | the Oud Duet, Ghassan, and Dina, will enchant their audience at Sultan Al-Ghuri Complex, in Al-Ghurya area, next to Al-Azhar Mosque. Algerian singer Souad Massi will perform live at Al-Manara Center, in New Cairo, and the Nutcracker Ballet will be performed at Cairo Opera House's Grand Theater at the same time.
Saturday, December 28:
07:30 PM | Strawberry Swing band will perform a “Coldplay Night” live at El-Sawy Culture Wheel, in Zamalek district. A women’s narration concert entitled “Banat Al Syra” will be performed live at El Sawy Culture Wheel’s Word Hall, in Zamalek district.
08:00 PM | singer Nassir Shamma will perform live at El Sawy Culture Wheel’s Word Hall, in Zamalek district. The Nutcracker Ballet will be performed at Cairo Opera House's Grand Theater and play the “forty rules of love” will be staged at the El Salam Theater, Kasr El Ainy St. at the same time.
10:30 PM | an electronic music concert, at Cairo Jazz Club, 26th of July Street.
Sunday, December 29:
7:00 PM | play “King Lear” will be staged at the Cairo Festival Theater the Arab Heritage Music Ensemble will perform live at the Arabic Music Institute at the same time.
8:00 PM | play "Lovers' Messages" – adopted from the “forty rules of love” novel – will be staged at the Miami Theater, on Talaat Harb Street. A number of events will also be performed at the same time such as Cairo Opera Choir teaming up with pianist David Hills at Cairo Opera House's small hall, and the Nutcracker Ballet at the Grand Theater, Cairo Opera House. Moreover, Om Elnour Choir will perform a Christmas show, as well as play the “forty rules of love” will be staged at the El Salam Theater, Kasr El Ainy St. at the same time.
09:00 PM| play “Shadow Tales” will be staged on El Ghad Theater.
Monday, December 30:
7:00 PM | play “King Lear” will be staged at the Cairo Festival Theater. Mediterranean cinema movies will be screening at the time at Cairo Opera House Complex’s Cinema El Hanager.
07:30 PM | Al Tannoura Troupe will enchant their audience at Sultan Al-Ghuri Complex, in Al-Ghurya area, next to Al-Azhar Mosque. 8:00 PM |Cairo Opera Choir teaming up with pianist David Hills at Cairo Opera House's small hall.
Tuesday, December31:
8:00 PM | Al-Kayan band concert will enchant their audience at El-Sawy Culture Wheel, in Zamalek district. The Beatles tribute band in Egypt will perform live at el Gomhoureya Theater and Cairo Symphony Orchestra will also perform a Christmas show at the same time.
08:30 | Jazz band, Egyptian project will perform at Christmas show at stage Elzamalek Musical club.
9:00 PM | Singers Wael Jassar, Ramy Sabry, and belly dancer Safinar will perform at InterContinental Cairo Semiramis.
10:00 PM | Superstar Mohamed Mounir will perform a Christmas party at Triumph Katameya Hotel.
10:30 | Superstar Hisham Abbas will perform a Christmas party at Cairo Jazz Club, in Sheikh Zayed City.
11:00 PM | Singers Saad al Saghir and Essam Karika will perform a Christmas party at Hotel Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah.
