Egyptian iconic actress, Sherihan, was set to return to the limelight after a long absence of 30 years, through a project with Al-Adl Group, consisting of 13 plays.
In 2016, the Group announced that it signed a contract with Sherihan to present 13 plays, in a ceremony that was held amid the attendee of celebrities, and the media.
On Tuesday, producer Gamal Al-Adl unveiled in a statement to the “mbc trending” program broadcast on "mbc4" channel, the reason behind the delay of Sherihan’s theater comeback, which was due to contracting the project with a new developing channel that screened plays, however, the channel development had stopped and didn’t come to light, thus the project stopped indefinitely.
He revealed that he is currently trying to do live plays with Sherihan or to complete the previous project with a reduced number of theatrical performances, up to two or three plays.
Al-Adl pointed out that he received offers from different satellite channels to screen the project such as mbc, Dubai, and other channels, noting that plays are likely to take place by New Year.

Sotheby’s is hosting a charitable auction, titled “To Beirut with Love” to raise funds for Beirut, following a deadly explosion, on August 4.
The auction will run from Dec. 7-15.
