Press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, stated on Friday, the reason why the Russian President Vladimir Putin didn't congratulate Joe Biden on winning the U.S. Presidential elections.
Peskov added: "If we understand correctly, the president-elect has not been announced yet."
"Once the election results are officially announced, the president will congratulate the winner."
Last Saturday, Joe Biden, declared his victory and expressed his gratitude for the Americans who chose him. Before that, a number of major American media channels announced his victory.
Meanwhile, the current president, Donald Trump, announced that the elections are not over yet, and he intends to defend his victory in court.
Several presidents and high-ranking politicians have already congratulated Biden on his election victory, however, the results were not officially announced.
