WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature to record and share voice notes via status updates, WABetaInfo reported.
This option will be found in the text status section if it is enabled on a device. Users can discard a recording before sharing it, which provides them with control over their voice recordings.
Meanwhile, the maximum duration for a voice note will be 30 seconds. In order to listen to the recording, users will have to update their WhatsApp version.
These notes will always be end-to-end encrypted, which means that only those people chosen by you in your privacy settings get to listen to these recordings. For now, these have been made available only to select beta testers.
Last December, WhatsApp launched the “accidental delete” feature that will enable users to recover accidentally deleted messages through the 'undo' option.
Once you delete a message, a small dialogue box will appear 'undo' option. The new feature will be available on both Android and iPhone.
