WhatsApp for Android is testing a new search bar to plan the settings menu, in addition to a new short video message feature that will enable you to enhance authenticity and speed in real-time chats.
If users want to update your status, open the settings and tap on “Status” from the filtered on-screen results. The new search bar will help to remove unnecessary scrolling throughout the settings page.
The app is also testing a new feature to let you record video messages and share them with the contact.
Users will be required to first capture a video with the phone’s app and send it over to a contact. The new feature only supports up to 60 seconds of the timeline.
WhatsApp recently launched the companion mode feature for all beta users on Android to let them sync chat history on up to four devices.
WeBetaInfo reported that the new tool will allow people to link their WhatsApp account to another mobile phone and use that phone to access their chats even if their primary phone is not connected to the internet.
In order to link a secondary Android device using companion mode, users must download the latest beta of WhatsApp Messenger or WhatsApp Business from Google Play. Then, tap the overflow menu on the registration screen and click Link a device.
