WhatsApp rolled out the “accidental delete” feature that will enable users to recover accidentally deleted messages through the 'undo' option.
Once you delete a message, a small dialogue box will appear 'undo' option. The new feature will be available on both Android and iPhone.
Earlier this month, WaBetaInfo reported that WhatsApp is developing a “view once” feature to allow users to send a text message that can be viewed by the other person only once, after which it will expire.
The new function, which is similar to Snapchat, provides an additional layer of privacy to your messages compared with the options currently available.
Moreover, the recipient will not be able to take a screenshot of the message, share, forward, copy, or save it either.
In 2021, WhatsApp previously introduced the “view once” feature for images and videos as a way for users to share throwaway pics or sensitive info, such as a password. These types of messages are not stored on a recipient’s phone.
The platform warned that there are still ways people can save these messages, such as by taking a photo of them on a different phone.
