WhatsApp is now allowing the beta users on iOS to use the 'Delete for Everyone' feature for two days, WABeaInfo reported on Saturday.

The report noted that the users will have the liberty to permanently delete a message even after two days and will get a notification reading, "This message was deleted."

WhatsApp introduced the feature in 2018, enabling users to delete or recall a message within 7 minutes of sending it. Later, the company increased the limit to 1 hour 8 minutes, and 16 seconds. So, this is not the first time that WhatsApp is planning to increase the limit.

Last June, media outlets revealed that WhatsApp will roll out new features from group calls to allow users to mute or message specific people on a call.

It noted: “Some new features for group calls on @WhatsApp: You can now mute or message specific people on a call (great if someone forgets to mute themselves!), and we’ve added a helpful indicator so you can more easily see when more people join large calls.”

One of the features is an indicator placed at the bottom of the group call. It informs all participants that someone joined the group call. These features will be available to the users who have installed the latest version of the app.

“You can quickly message or mute any participant on a group call. In particular, the option to mute certain people on a call is very helpful when someone forgets to mute themselves. Note that the option to mute is not limited to the person that placed the call: anyone can mute,” wrote WABetaInfo.
