If you have more than one WhatsApp account, you won't soon need to carry two phones to access them simultaneously.

WhatsApp is finally enabling the addition of two accounts to one device, as long as you have a second phone number.

You won't even need to log out of one account to access the other. To enable simultaneous access to two accounts, head to the app's settings page and click on the arrow next to your name to find the "Add Account" option.

Each account will have its own privacy settings and notifications.

This feature will be particularly handy if you're on vacation and don't want to receive work-related messages and notifications for a certain period.

This new feature follows an update earlier this year that allowed users to access their accounts on multiple devices.

WhatsApp used to be quite strict when it came to account access, limiting users to one account on one device.

However, the company began exploring multi-device functionality in 2021 and introduced the ability to sync one account across up to four devices in April of the past year.

This upcoming update, which may make it easier to manage different aspects of your life on Android devices, is expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks, according to Engadget.
