On Thursday, the Secretary-General of Antiquities Moustafa Waziri denied the latest rumors about closing the site of the Pyramids for upgrading works for two months.
Waziri highlighted that the latest trending news is false, asserting that the site is open and the traffic of the visitors and tourists is natural.
He also pointed out that the upgrading works in the Pyramids are going accurately, and the developments will include the historical site, entrances, and the surrounding area.
Waziri added that the number of tourists who visit the area is huge.
On its side, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities urge all social media users to make sure of the news they share or post.
