Neon shared Thursday the first footage of American actress Kristen Stewart as late royal Princess Diana Spencer in the highly-anticipated movie, "Spencer".
The trailer begins with Princess Diana arriving at Sandringham for the Christmas weekend and takes the viewers through preparations for dinner while a distraught Diana in a bathroom being called to the table.
The footage also featured moments of Diana letting loose dancing and running across the estate grounds.

Pablo Larraín directed the movie from a screenplay written by the “Peaky Blinders” creator Steven Knight.
The actress stars in the movie opposite Jack Farthing who plays Prince Charles. It also stars Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins, Sean Harris, Olga Hellsing, Thomas Douglas, and others.
“Spencer” follows a weekend in the early 1990s when Princess Diana (Stewart) decided to separate from Prince Charles amid rumors of affairs.
The late princess was spending the Christmas holiday with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk when she decides to end her tumultuous marriage with Prince Charles.
In 1981, the princess married Prince Charles, and got separated in 1992, and porced in 1996. She was tragically killed in a car crash in Paris the following year.
FFilmNation Entertainment handled international sales with all key territories selling out of the 2020 Cannes virtual market. Neon and Topic Studios acquired US distribution rights for the movie, while STXinternational will distribute in the UK, France, Italy, and Benelux; DCM has Germany.
The movie is produced by Juan de Dios Larraín for Fabula Films, Jonas Dornbach and Janine Jackowski for Komplizen Film, and Paul Webster for Shoebox Films.
“Spencer” is set to hit theaters on November 5 and world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 3, then move on to TIFF.
