Amir Ramzy, the brother of renowned actor, Hany Ramzy has posted on his “Facebook” account a new picture of himself with prominent actor, George Sidhom.
“For a year, Professor George is their master, and Dr. Linda is kind. It is necessary for the beginning of the year to be assured of the health of our dear friend, a happy year for you.” he captioned.This is considered Sidhom’s latest public appearance.
It is worth mentioning that George Abees Sidhom, known as George Sidhom, is a famous Egyptian comedian who was born on May 28, 1938, to a family originally from Upper Egypt.
Sidhom's first encounter with stardom was when he formed “Tholaathy adwaa al-masrah” troupe, which included Samir Ghanem, and al-Deif Ahmad.
The actor had performed various musical sketches, stand-up comedy shows, comedy plays, and movies.
The troupe's debut through “Doctor elha’ny i.e. Doctor, save me”, a short performance that introduced them to the world of fame.
They presented the first-ever TV Ramadan Riddles and continued for ten years. It was written by Hussein al-Sayyed and directed by Muhamad Saalem.
The troupe's most popular films are “’Aakher sha’aawa i.e. Extremely naught”, “30 yowm fel-segn i.e. 30 days in jail”, and “Al-maganeen al-talaata i.e. The three madmen”.
After al-Deif Ahmad had passed away in 1970, Ghanem and Sidhom continued under the same name “Tholaathy adwaa al-masrah” until 1982.
The duos' most famous plays by Tholathy Adwa'a El Masrah, was produced after 1970, which are “Mousseeka fel-hayy al-sharky i.e. Music in east district”, “Al-motazawwegoun i.e. The married”, and “Ahlan ya doctor i.e. Welcome doctor”.
Sidhom retired years ago due to a brain stroke. He is married to Linda, who is a pharmacist.
