The final trailer for “A Quiet Place Part 2”, the highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s “A Quiet Place”, arrived on Thursday.
The movie picks up where the first movie left off and follows the rest of the surviving members of the Abbott family navigating a world where sound is lethal, after the death of patriarch Lee.
It also stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Cillian Murphy, and Noah Jupe. John Krasinski, whose character sacrificed his life to protect his family in the first movie, will also appear in the flashbacks.
The plot centers around the remaining members of the Abbott family— Evelyn (Blunt) and her children, Regan (Simmonds), Marcus (Jupe), and a newborn baby— while they continue to live in silence and hide from creatures that hunt sound, this time while facing the terrors of the outside world.
The sequel is directed by Krasinski, who also writes the screenplay based on characters created by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck. Krasinski, JoAnn Perritano, and Allyson Seeger executive produce, while Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller serve as producers.
“A Quiet Place Part 2” will premiere in theaters on May 28 and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+ 30-45 days after the movie hits theaters.
