video showing a man and his friends driving a car made for the water at Porto Marina, Alexandria, has been widely watched online this week.

Three Egypt friends have cooperated to create and invent a car that can drive on water.

Pictures and videos of the car ‘drifting’ on top of the water went viral on the internet.

‘When I have been abroad for so long, I wanted to do this project from abroad, and then bring it to Egypt,’ one of the inventors, Karim Amin, told the international media.

"The undertaking wasn't a cheap one; the model of one car alone cost $19181," Amin added.

For now, Amin and his friends are content to perfect the new advanced aquatic and amphibious version of the car. He says it could hit the market in as little as two years.

This is the ultimate vehicle for sea adrenaline junkies. Want to rip through the sea for a little while?
