CNN, quoting a State Department official, reported that the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, will join his country's delegation for the upcoming direct talks between Israel and Lebanon.
According to CNN, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will participate in the talks once again, alongside Michel Issa and State Department Counselor Michael Needham.
The report clarified that Israel will be represented by Ambassador Yechiel Leiter, while Lebanon will be represented by Ambassador Nada Hamadeh Mouawad, who currently serves as Lebanon's Ambassador to the United States in Washington.
A State Department official confirmed that these talks, scheduled for Thursday at the State Department building, mark the second round of ambassadorial-level discussions within two weeks.
