The Governor of the Central Bank of Syria Issam Hazima said that the bank was exposed to robberies on Sunday morning, as weak-willed people took advantage of the events, adding: "Once the armed opposition arrived, we were able, through them and with their help, to return part of this money."
"Hazima" added that at that time, a shooting occurred because the robbers planned to do so by exploiting the circumstances that Syria is going through.
He explained that the money of the Central Bank is Syria's money and does not belong to anyone, and this money is used to buy medicine and food.
He stressed that the security situation of the Central Bank of Syria is in the custody of the armed opposition, and currently the situation is stable with the return of a kind of security to the building of the Central Bank of Syria and the money in it.
