Violent clashes renewed between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) today, Saturday, in the vicinity of the "Armored Corps" headquarters in the capital, Khartoum.
The two warring parties use heavy and light weapons in the clashes.
According to eyewitnesses, the SAF repelled a large-scale attack by the "RSF" from two axes, which lasted for several hours, targeting the "Armored Corps" south of Khartoum, according to the Turkish Anadolu News Agency.

The witnesses indicated that "the RSF suffered heavy losses in lives and military equipment, while a large group of its members were captured."
The two parties to the conflict in Sudan exchange accusations of starting the fighting first in mid-April and then committing violations during a series of armistices that did not succeed in putting an end to the clashes.
The internal conflict in Sudan has left more than 3 thousand dead, most of them civilians, and more than 2 million and two hundred thousand displaced persons and refugees inside and outside one of the poorest countries in the world.
