American actor, Vin Diesel is set to star in and produce a live-action movie of the tabletop boxing game "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots".
Mattel Films is behind the project and is partnering with Universal, the studio behind Diesel's famous "Fast & Furious" franchise.
The action-adventure is written by Ryan Engle and follows a father and son who form an unlikely bond with an advanced war machine.
The actor and Samantha Vincent will produce via One Race Films with Kevin McKeon overseeing the project for Mattel.
Mattel is developing live-action adaptations of other popular games and toys such as Barbie, Barney, Magic 8 Ball, and Hot Wheels. With Universal, the company is developing a movie adaptation for the popular 90s tv series, "Wishbone".
Diesel will next be seen in the long-awaited "F9".
