FAO has been carrying out a persuasive and awareness-raising campaign to inform the stakeholders who are involved in delivering and producing poultry on the biosecurity measures and codes.
In a step intended to save Egypt's farmer investments from being lost, FAO has released a video revealing the standard measures that poultry producers may use on their farms to increase the biosecurity of their flocks.
The video aims at spreading awareness among poultry growers to enhance the biosecurity measures in the poultry farms sector and its field application to reduce the exposure of poultry as well as humans to High Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI).
It also shows and illustrates the proper and correct methods of raising poultry in a safe and healthy manner, which reduces the possibility of exposure to risks of the infection of Avian Influenza.
Through this campaign, FAO has helped and supported hundreds of farmers to gain the right knowledge about the measures to be taken during raising poultry.
In the connection, FAW has raised the alarm over a strange disease that has caused the death of thousands of birds.
It's worth mentioning that FAO in cooperation with Egypt's Government supports a total of 78 projects that focus on poultry raising and establishing fruit and vegetable gardens.
