On Thursday, many public figures and media professionals locked to El-Mosheer Tantawy Mosque, in the Fifth Settlement, Cairo, for the funeral of veteran Egyptian journalist Yasser Rizk.
Among the attendee were Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Elham Aboul Fateh, the Managing Director of Cleopatra Media Group and head of Sada El Balad channel network, Culture Minister Enas Abdel Dayem, Elham Aboul Fateh, Karam Gabr, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, Khaled Mery, Well-known media figure, and Journalists’ syndicate’s undersecretary.
Rizk passed away early Wednesday at the age of 57 after a sudden heart attack. He was an example to be followed in his kindness and successful journalist career.
He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Akhbar Al-Youm, former editor-in-chief of Al-Akhbar, and former editor-in-chief of Al-Masry Al-Youm.
