On Dec.28, Maspero Television Building lost one of its prominent figures.
Egypt’s TV anchor, Azaa Eletrabi, passed away at the age of 74 late last night, the head of Egypt’s television, Naela Farouk, announced. The cause of the death hasn’t yet been revealed.
Eletrabi’s funeral will take place after the noon prayer at Elsaida Nafisa Mosque in Cairo, according to Farouk.
The professional journalist was born in Feb. 1947 in Mansoura City. The late, renowned media figure received his BA from the Sociology department at the Faculty of Literature in Cairo in 1967.
After her graduation, she joined the Maspero Building in the 1960s, where she held numerous positions, such as a TV anchor of tourism and economic programs, the head of Channel 1, Channel 2, and the Deputy Chief of Heritage Department Television.
Eletrabi is the person who marked a period of the Maspero. Throughout a long-standing career, the remarkable TV presenter and news broadcast presenter appeared in many programs like (The Club of Businessmen), and (Welcome).
She was a talented broadcast presenter, well known for hosting "Zekriat We Hekiat" for more than a decade.
