Meanwhile, Aya Ashraf Elmoursy, an editor-in-Chief of Neon science website, published through her account on “Facebook”, an obituary to the Egyptian maven journalist El Kersh, who was her supervisor.

Elmoursy wrote: “Survival of God, the respected Journalist El-Kersh… very difficult news … God have mercy on him.”

According to the head of the journalism department at Ahram Canadian University Dr. Sohair Osman, "Beyond being the editor-in-chief, my colleague and co-teacher, he acted as fathers and brothers to most of us without expecting anything in return."

In the same context, the member of Egypt’s Syndicate of press Osama Saraya, the BBC journalist Azza Moheieddin and also a number of his students tweeted their memories of the late prominent journalist.

Saraya, a senior economic editor and  journalist at Al-Ahram newspaper, described the renowned journalist as a “combination of kindness and warmheartedness.”

The professional journalist was born in October 1949 in Egypt. He received his BA from the Journalism department at the faculty of Mass communication in Cairo in 1975.

Indeed, El Kersh is the person who marked a period of the Al-Ahram newspaper.  The remarkable writer and senior news editor made very significant publications and brought many names to the press world and media sector.

It's worth mentioning that throughout his successful career, El Kersh also made his voice heard through numerous media such as the UAE Alittihad newspaper and Al-Ahram newspaper.

According to domestic reports, more than 8.4 thousand people died. Around 133 thousand people are known to have contracted this awful virus, though the actual number is likely much bigger.

Obviously, many young and elders people died and partners were bereaved as loved ones died alone in hospitals, bedside visits were considered too dangerous to risk.

It's worth noting that the funeral prayer was held after the Dhuhr or Jummah prayer on Friday at his family’s cemetery in Qatmaia City.

Ultimately, ‘El Kersh,’ as he was called by some close friends, was well-known for an easy smile, his kindness, and his willingness to help others.
