Veteran British journalist Robert Fisk, who specialized in covering the Middle East affairs for more than four decades, has died at the age of 74.
Fisk died after suffering a suspected stroke at his home in Dublin.
The Irish Times reported that he was transferred to St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin, after feeling ill at his home on Friday.
Fisk won numerous awards for his coverage of the Middle East affairs. These awards included the Orwell prize for journalism and multiple wins at the British Press Awards in the categories of international reporter of the year and foreign reporter of the year.
