Two-time Golden Globe winner Jamie Lee Curtis will receive the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement at this year’s Venice Film Festival.
The actress will receive the award before the out-of-competition screening of "Halloween Kills", on September 8.
“Halloween Kills” picks up following the events of 2018’s “Halloween“, which saw Strode dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder 40 years after surviving Michael Myers’ original murder spree.
In a statement, Curtis shared that she was incredibly humbled to be honored in this way by the Venice International Film Festival.
"It seems impossible to me that I’ve been in this industry long enough to be receiving ‘lifetime achievement’ recognition and to have it happen now, with "Halloween Kills", is particularly meaningful to me," she added.
Curtis is best known for her roles in the legendary "Halloween" franchise, "Freaky Friday", "A Fish Called Wanda", "My Girl", and "You Again".
