Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on Monday that his country’s scientists managed to develop a drug to treat the emerging coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19).
He added, on his private account on (Twitter), that the studies lasted for six months, and the results showed that the cure completely eliminates the virus that causes "Covid-19", without any toxic effect on the healthy parts, Russia Today reported.
Maduro explained that, in the coming days, his country will hand over the results of the tests carried out by the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research to the World Health Organization and if the Organization approved the cure, his country will start looking for international alliances to produce large quantities of this treatment.
