A Venezuelan plane carrying 13 tons of humanitarian aid has arrived at Damascus International Airport, as part of efforts to assist Lebanese refugees who have fled to Syria due to the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
The aid, which includes food, medical supplies, and other relief materials, is intended to support those affected by the conflict.
The Venezuelan Ambassador to Damascus, José Biomorgi, highlighted that this shipment is a gesture of solidarity from Venezuela to the people of Lebanon, who have been forced to leave their homes due to the violence.
He emphasized that Venezuela stands by its friends in difficult times, reflecting the country's foreign policy approach of supporting regional allies.
Moutaz Douaji, Syria’s Deputy Minister of Local Administration for Environmental Affairs, stated that the Syrian government has received the aid, which will be distributed to those in need, particularly Lebanese refugees in shelters across Syria.
