In an hour speech to the nation on Tuesday night, the Venezuelan Nicolás Maduro accused opposition leader Juan Guaidó and his political mentor Leopoldo López of seeking to spark an armed confrontation that might be used as a pretext for a foreign military intervention.
Maduro claimed his troops have thwarted a botched attempt to topple him masterminded by Venezuela’s coup-mongering far right and Donald Trump’s deranged imperialist gang.
In addition he has described the US as the main villain for the unrest in the country and blamed them for anti-government movements in 2018, 2014 and 2002.

Noteworthly, Venezuelan Communications Minister Jorge Rodriguez, unveiled material which suggests a coup involving military personnel and politicians .
Mr Rodriguez revealed recently-arrested Colonel Oswaldo Garcia admitted US officials were planning a military operation against Maduro this year.
Also, he revealed Mr Garcia had visited Washington on multiple occasions and held further meetings in Brazil and Colombia to formulate plans to overthrow Maduro.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has condemned the Maduro regime and thrown his support behind opposition leader Juan Guaido while also indicating military action is a possibility.
Trump reported that military action is something that’s on the table and is an option.
The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is convinced that many of the inpiduals inside the Venezuelan military do not want to do harm to their brothers, sisters and grandparents.
