On Friday, the Vatican announced a new update on Pope Francis's medical condition. The Vatican revealed that the Pope's medical case is still stable but complex as he battles pneumonia in the hospital.
The latest update was provided a day after releasing an audio message in which the 88-year-old Pope sounded breathless.
The message was broadcast to pilgrims in St Peter's Square on Thursday evening. It was the first time for people to hear the pope's voice since he was admitted to Rome's Gemelli hospital on February 14.
The Pope said in the message: "I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers for my health from the Square. I accompany you from here."
"May God bless you and the Virgin protect you. Thank you."
