Egyptian Co. For Metro Management & Operation announced installing new additional vaccination spots in the Al-Shohadaa' metro station, media agencies reported on Friday.
The new spots will be in action starting from tomorrow, and metro services users can receive their vaccine doses daily from 12 pm to 8 pm.
It is worthy to mention that the Minister of Higher Education, and Scientific Research and the one who is shouldering the responsibility of the Minister of Health Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar expressed last week that all vaccination spots in underground metro stations are working.
The first two vaccination spots attached were at the Al-Sadat station, and it received more than 500 persons last week.
It is expected that another 14 vaccination cabinets will be installed in transmission stations such as the Al Sadat, the Al Shohadaa, and the Al Ataba stations, alongside another 8 vaccination spots in stations that are visited by the majority of metro services users such as the Shubra Al Khiema, the New El Marg, the Gamal Abdel Nasser, and the Helwan stations.
In the same context, Abdel Ghaffar revealed that there are 97 spots for helping residents to register to the website dedicated to receiving vaccination requests.
After that, he described that there 4 medical teams, data entry, and a communication team for assisting those who want to have the vaccine.
On Thursday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 911 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 347719.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 19780 nationwide after the ministry announced 73 deaths.
About 419 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 289952.
