Uzbekistan officially opened to visitors from all over the world on March 13, though all tourists are required to take a Covid-19 test prior to arrival or once they get to its airports.

Foreign arrivals must have one of the following: proof of vaccination, a negative PCR test taken less than 72 hours before arrival, a rapid antigen test taken less than 48 hours before arrival, or evidence that you have recovered from COVID-19 within the last six months, according to the government of Uzbekistan.

"Foreign tourists and arrivals who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to do a PCR test 72 hours before entry," the state noted.

After months of lockdown restrictions, the Asian country also opened its borders gates with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan for its citizens as well as Tajikistan's people and other Asian visitors, according to Uzbekistan's reports. "There are no restrictions on travel between the borders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan."

Also in this regard, international tourists will be allowed to travel between various regions in the fascinated country.

It is worthy to mention that the easing of travel measures step means that travelers, regardless of their country of origin, can now enter Uzbekistan without being subject to additional entry rules, such as quarantine requirements and other restrictive measures.
