United States (US) welcomed the diligent efforts made by the governments of Cambodia and Thailand to adhere to the ceasefire agreement signed on December 27.
According to a statement issued by the U.S. State Department, US noted that this step underscores the commitment of both the Cambodian and Thai sides to achieving a lasting peace through the implementation of the terms of the Kuala Lumpur Peace Accords.
Furthermore, US welcomed Thailand's release of eighteen Cambodian soldiers, describing it as a positive step toward rebuilding neighboring relations and trust.
Moreover, US expressed its readiness to support the governments of Cambodia and Thailand in resuming the implementation of critical measures agreed upon in the Joint Declaration issued on October 26.
