On Tuesday, the US Department of State urged both Palestine and Israel to avoid targeting civilians especially after the Israeli raids on Gaza.
Ned Price, the Spokesperson of the Department of State, said in a press conference held on Tuesday that Israel has the right to defend itself, on the other hand, Palestine has the right to live in peace. He added that the Department of State is communicating with both sides.
"We’re deeply concerned about the situation in Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, including violent confrontations in Jerusalem, particularly in the Haram al-Sharif Temple Mount that has resulted in at least 180 additional injuries," he asserted.
14 Israeli raids in different areas of Palestine’s Gaza strip today, according to media sources.
Earlier today, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that 26 people including 9 children, were killed, and 122 were wounded, as a result of the Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip.
On Monday, Israeli police forces injured hundreds of Palestinians as they violently cracked down on worshippers at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
