US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stressed that climate change threatens food security around the world.
During the closing session "The New Global Finance Pact" Summit, Yellen said that conflicts do not only threaten humanity, but also prevent economic growth, contribute to displacement and increase illegal immigration in various parts of the world.
She also noted that all these problems are not limited to a single country, yet it is joint responsibility of all countries around the world.
Moreover, she pointed out that there is a threat to global health, which in turn threatens the stability of economies and societies around the world, as the Coronavirus pandemic led to an increase in poverty.
