US Suspends Immigration Applications from Citizens of 19 Nations

The United States has suspended immigration applications for citizens of 19 countries, including Afghanistan, Yemen, and Sudan, according to an official memo released on Tuesday.

The document states that US authorities have halted the processing of green card and citizenship applications for individuals from 12 countries whose nationals have been barred from travelling to the US since June.

The suspension also applies to applicants from an additional seven countries.

The full list includes nations such as Venezuela, Haiti, and Somalia. Under the new policy, applications from citizens of all 19 countries will remain frozen, and affected migrants will be required to undergo an extensive re-evaluation process before any future consideration.
