US Stresses Importance of Opening Communication with China

US State Department spokesman Ned Price stressed the importance of opening communication with China to avoid the possibility of conflict.

Price added, according to the US “Alhurra” channel, today, Tuesday, that US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin tried several times to communicate with his Chinese counterpart, but the latter refused to engage with him until now.

On the other hand, South Korea and the United States initiated the Freedom Shield exercise, which focuses on the changing security environment due to North Korea's aggressive behavior, which Pyongyang prepared as a declaration of war.

The exercises include several joint exercises to enhance defense and response capabilities amid North Korea's growing nuclear threats and other changing security environments.

The drills aim to further enhance cooperation between the two armies through air, land, sea, space, cyber and special operations and improve tactics and procedures.

The exercises also underscore Washington's firm commitment to defending South Korea using its full military capabilities, including nuclear ones.

The US State Department spokesman also confirmed that his country is deeply involved in the Middle East to make it more secure, peaceful, and stable.

Price added, according to the news channel, that the US will continue to do everything to ensure the security of Israel and expand the bridges that have been built between it and the countries of the region.
