U.S. State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce announced on Sunday that Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu from Rome.
In a statement issued by the U.S. Department of State, Bruce said: “The two sides discussed the situation in Gaza and efforts to secure the release of all remaining hostages.”
