US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that no discussions regarding a settlement in Ukraine are currently taking place.
Rubio had previously stated that the United States remains ready to continue playing a role in the Ukrainian settlement, emphasizing that the conflict must only end through diplomatic means.
Delegations from Russia, Ukraine, and the United States have held three rounds of negotiations since the beginning of the year, the latest of which took place in Geneva on February 17 and 18.
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov had earlier confirmed that the pause in peace talks is due to the current situation in the Middle East.
Peskov emphasized that the Kyiv regime must initiate negotiations, noting that Ukraine's room for maneuver and decision-making freedom is shrinking as its situation on the frontline deteriorates.
