The United States is preparing to announce a new $12 billion agricultural aid package aimed at supporting farmers affected by falling crop prices and tariff-related pressures, according to a White House official quoted by Bloomberg.

President Donald Trump is expected to unveil the package during an event attended by several farmers, along with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. The financial support will cover livestock producers as well as farmers growing key crops such as grains, soybeans, cotton, and potatoes.

The announcement follows months of mounting challenges faced by American farmers due to the impact of tariffs, global market fluctuations, and declining commodity prices. Many agricultural sectors have expressed concern about the long-term effects of ongoing trade policies, prompting the administration to offer additional relief.

The new assistance package is intended to stabilize farm income, strengthen domestic agriculture, and help producers stay afloat amid volatile economic conditions.
