The US Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden, maintained his lead in the elections by obtaining 207 votes from the electoral college, compared to 119 votes for his rival US President Donald Trump, according to "FOX News".
The winning candidate must obtain 270 of electoral college votes to be declared president.
It is worth mentioning that, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the Democrats are trying to steal the elections and “we will not allow them to do so”.
Trump added that he will address the nation this evening.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden, the Democratic Party’s candidate for the presidential elections, said that he believes he is on the right track to win the elections, noting: “everyone knows that early and postal voting will take some time, but we feel comfortable about the situation we are in and we feel comfortable in some states.”
“It is not my right or Trump’s right to announce who wins,” Biden said. He also thanked those who voted.
