On Monday, Jordan's King Abdullah II, Queen Rania Al Abdullah, and Crown Prince Al Hussein were received by US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at the White House.
This meeting will be the first meeting between Jordanian and US leaders since the killing of the three American troops in the US base in Jordan.
National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the two leaders would discuss efforts to de-escalate the tensions in the Middle East, including the war in Gaza, in addition to facilitating the entry of humanitarian assistance in Gaza, and “a vision for a durable peace to include the viability of a two-state solution with Israel’s security guaranteed.”
