US President Hails Jeddah Summit

US President Joe Biden commented on his participation in Jeddah Security and Development Summit”.

"It was good to attend a first-of-its-kind “Jeddah Security and Development Summit” with the leaders of the GCC, Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan," Biden tweeted.

"The U.S. is committed to the Middle East that is prosperous, peaceful, and integrated. We are invested in building a better future for all," he added.

It is worth mentioning that, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi delivered a speech during the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development, held in Saudi Arabia, during which he tackled a number of regional and international issues.

President Sisi’s speech is considered a roadmap for the future and the present of the region. it was a strong word that came in line with the constants of the Egyptian state.

During his speech, Sisi called for reformulating laws that preserve water security, stressing the importance of supporting every effort that would develop cooperation and persify partnerships to confront the food and energy crises.

Moreover, the Egyptian president said that the Jeddah summit is held at an exceptional moment in the history of the world and the Arab region, as it has a clear political connotation.

He stressed Egypt’s commitment to combating terrorism and extremism in all its forms, pointing out that Egypt will remain an essential partner of the United States in the region.

Sisi also reviewed a five-point approach to confront the region’s crises, the first of which is the establishment of a Palestinian state living side by side with the State of Israel, which will open prospects for peace and stability in the region, in addition to intensifying joint efforts for reaching a final and irreversible solution to the peace process.
