Philadelphia police in the state of Pennsylvania announced today, Friday, that they are conducting investigations after thwarting a planned attack near the Convention Center.

“Police got a tip about a group, possibly a family, driving up from Virginia in a Hummer to unleash an attack at the Convention Center,” according to CNN affiliate WPVI.

Philadelphia Police told WPVI "they recovered a weapon and believed they recovered the Hummer they received a tip about.”

The police arrested one of the suspects, affirming that there had been no news of human injuries so far, and the data published on the official website of the US elections had shown earlier on Friday, Pennsylvania still has less than 10% of absentee ballots not counted yet.

It is noteworthy that the state of Pennsylvania, which may raise the total electoral college votes for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden above the threshold of 270 votes he needs to win the presidency, may finish the majority of the remaining votes count by today.
