A US Navy training aircraft crashed in Mississippi on Tuesday, with both pilots ejecting safely before the incident, according to US officials cited by CBS News.
The T-45C Goshawk training jet went down on private farmland in Noxubee County in eastern Mississippi during a training flight.
Both pilots parachuted safely and were taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation. Authorities said an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
In a statement, Naval Air Training Command confirmed the aircraft involved was a two-seat T-45C Goshawk used to train US Navy and Marine Corps pilots.
