The United States is set to modernize its military infrastructure in Poland, Latvia, and Estonia with a $11.7 million allocation, according to Pentagon newspaper Stars and Stripes.

The funds will support infrastructure upgrades for rotational forces, including expanded living quarters, upgraded maintenance facilities, and enhanced security systems.

The projects will cover Bemowo Piskie and Deba training ranges in Poland, Adazi and Lielvarde bases in Latvia, and two Estonian sites.

Major George Harrivel, a group engineer overseeing the effort, said renovations will be turnkey, allowing units to begin operations immediately upon arrival. Improvements include housing, life support, and ground reinforcement for military vehicles, ensuring full operational readiness.

The upgrades come amid ongoing concerns from Russia, with President Vladimir Putin citing NATO infrastructure near Russian borders as a potential security threat.
